Zweisimmen is the gateway to the world-famous Gstaad-Saanenland region and the ‘Snow paradise’ ski area, which stretches from Zweisimmen to Schönried, has 120 km of ski slopes and snow parks. Access is provided by the Rinderberg cable-car, which operates from the centre of village. The Montreux-Bernese-Oberland rail line, which also starts in the village, provides a link to the cableways feeding the ‘Gstaad Mountain Rides’ ski area. The Sparenmoos high plateau has 38 km of cross-country ski trails and, for family fun, is the starting point for the 7 km toboggan run down to Zweisimmen. There are also many winter walking trails.
