Zweisimmen in summer is a paradise for walkers and hikers. Apart from the Mountain path Trail (see separate entry), there are other themed trails such as the Obersimmental Home Trail providing an opportunity to admire the magnificent Simmental farmhouses. The idyllic Seebergsee is a popular outing and you can go on towards the Stierenberg and stay overnight at the mountain lodge. There are four high altitude trails with magnificent views and another to Lenk. For something different, try one of two routes down from the mountain on scooters with special brakes or take a panoramic day trip by rail to Montreux .
