In addition to the other attractions of Yverdon-les-Bains there are two buildings which shouldn’t be missed. The first is the Town Hall which was erected between 1768 and 1773, on the site of the former covered market. Inside the building, beautiful furniture and decorations are displayed, as well as faience stoves, panels, wainscots and paintings. The vaults of the ancient granary are used year-round for art exhibitions. The Temple, designed by Geneva architect Billon in 1757, was erected on the site of the14th century Notre-Dame chapel. Its original spire had been sculpted with blocks from the ruins of the Roman Castrum.
