The Peter and Paul Wildlife Park is located about 3 km north of St Gallen in the Rotmonten area. At a height of 780 metres above sea level, it offers, from various points, great views of Thurgau, Lake Constance, southern Germany, Vorarlberg and the Alpstein. Opened in 1892 with 39 animals you can now see ibex, red sika and fallow deer, chamois, lynx, marmots, wild pigs, wild cats and others in their natural habitat. The park is well known for its Ibex breeding programme. The forest trails invite you to roam and there is the well known Wildpark restaurant.
