The Wickerwork Museum (Flechtmuseum) was established to bring to public attention traditional woven handwork and the great variety of items produced. After three generations of production, surplus stock began to accumulate and in 2004 the museum was opened and, in its 50 square metres, now has over 500 items on display. Exhibits include baskets of various types, chairs, hats, toys, furniture and miniatures; you can see artisans at work and the quality and originality of their output. The museum also has a collection of photographs, periodicals, designs and other literature on the craft.
