Weggis is located 6.5 km south of Küssnacht and, when Weggis Lido opened in 1919, it was the first mixed bathing facility in Switzerland. It offers lake swimming, with one-metre and 3-metre diving boards/platforms, supplemented by a 25-metre indoor non-swimmers’ pool, there is a lifeguard on duty. Features include a water slide, float, water accessories, a sandy beach, grassed sunbathing with shade, a beach volleyball court and a games area for table tennis and other sports. Facilities include changing cubicles, showers, toilets, a kiosk, restaurant, sauna and solarium.
