Zürich visitors interested in African Art should make a point of visiting Galerie Walu which is close to the Jamileh Weber Gallery (see separate entry). A family business since 1957, the gallery exhibits many extraordinary art works and offers a fascinating insight into the art and culture of West Africa, where the family has personal connections with the countries of origin. Walu seeks to promote intercultural understanding, through exhibitions, publications, donations and providing items on loan to museums. It collaborates with Koller Auctions (see separate entry) who conduct two sales of African and oceanic art every year.
