Walchwil is located about 8.5 km south of Zug on the eastern shore of the Zuger See. The Badi Walchwil is on the southern outskirts of the town on the Artherstrasse coastal road. This is another of the very attractive lake swimming areas found all over Switzerland and is popular with both visitors and locals. There is a swimming area for non-swimmers, grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and a restaurant. Facilities provided include showers and toilets.
