The village of Villigen is situated about 11.5 km southwest of Bad Zurzach and the Schwimmbad Villigen, dating from 1948, is a compact but attractive open-air bathing complex under lifeguard supervision. The 25-metre swimmers’ pool is complemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Features include a one-metre diving platform, various pool accessories, a beach volleyball court, grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets. There is a kiosk, a snack bar, restaurant and a barbeque area.
