On a four hectare (10 acre) site approximately 10 km northwest of Zürich, the Urdorf Lido has comprehensive facilities, solar heated open-air pools under lifeguard supervision and is ideal for a family outing. The 50-metre swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a 20-metre non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a 40-metre waterslide, a diving tower with one-metre and three-metre platforms, a beach volley ball court, children’s playground, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and a games area for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include changing cubicles, lockers, showers, toilets, a kiosk, snack bar, restaurant and a barbeque area.
