The Flussbad Oberer is in the city centre by the Kornhausbrücke. It offers river bathing in a channelled 400 metre stretch of the River Limmat and is surrounded by bars and restaurants. It is not suitable for children because of the depth and current, but is a very popular location, particularly at lunchtimes in hot weather. Entry is free and features include a one-metre diving board, two beach volleyball courts, a boules area and sunbathing areas with shade. Facilities include a kiosk, lockers and toilets.
