The Swiss History Forum is housed in the buildings which, since 1955, have also been the headquarters of the Swiss National Museums and were a former granary and arsenal. The modern interior illustrates, over three floors, the everyday life of the Swiss Confederates from 1300 to 1800 and also stages temporary exhibitions and special events. There are more than 800 objects on display with audio stations, information points, videos and computer terminals which explain their place in the Swiss history. Guided tours are available for what is one the most important museums of cultural history.
