The Swiss Capuchins Museum has, since 1962, been housed in the Capuchins Convent, dating from 1606, and which, in 1998, became controlled by the catholic community of Sursee. The museum portrays the life and history of the Order of the St Francis of Assisi in Switzerland and of the Swiss Province of Capuchins (1581), from the 16th to the 20th centuries. Exhibits include paintings, drawings, sculptures, graphics, books, documents, photographs, textiles and graphic illustrations relating to the Capuchin life and work in convents, hospices, churches, libraries, colleges and study centres.
