Displayed in a lovely house in magnificent surroundings in Oberhofen, just 5.5 km southeast of Thun, the art collection of Hans and Marlis Suter comprises more than 1,500 paintings, drawings, graphics and sculptures. The extensive collection, carefully assembled over more than 40 years, is devoted to 20th century Swiss art and focuses on artists from the Bern region and in particular Thun and the lake area. Two of the rooms exhibit the tasteful and delicate embroideries and tapestries of Else Ruckli Stoecklin. There are also temporary exhibitions.
