Located in Wald, about 11 km northeast of Rapperswil-Jona, the Freibad Sunnetal is an open-air bathing complex under lifeguard supervision. The 50-metre swimmers’ pool has a non-swimmers’ pool attached and is complemented by a children’s paddling pool. Other features include one-metre and three-metre diving platforms, a four-metre waterslide, children’s playground, volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include parking, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets. There is also a kiosk/restaurant.
