The Steg Lido, located just north of Scmittenbach about 19 km northeast of Rapperswil-Jona, is an open-air bathing complex which was re-opened in 2006, after the buildings were destroyed by fire the previous year. The swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Features include one-metre and two-metre diving platforms, a children’s playground, grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include parking, changing cubicles, showers and toilets. There is a kiosk serving a variety of meals.
