Located about 6 km northeast of Schaffhausen, between Büsingen and Doerflingen on a moraine hill, the 11th Century Bergkirche St. Michael is one of the oldest churches in Switzerland. It was first mentioned in a letter from Pope Urban II dated the 8th October 1095 and has a verger’s house and farm building which can also be visited. Its unique setting makes it very popular for weddings and is also a distinctive venue for organ and chamber music concerts
