The Mineralheilbad St Margrethen is located centrally in the town and is about 24 km east of St Gallen. These mineral springs have been known and used for more than 300 years and, as the water is at about 35 °C, even the open-air pools can be used in winter. Features include an external massage pool and a flow pool and a further massage pool indoors. There are also grassed sunbathing areas with shade and other facilities include a restaurant, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets. There are modern sauna areas, a solarium and a wide range of offers available, including fitness classes and massage.
