Opened on the 22nd March 2007 in the southwest of Zürich, the shopping and entertainment centre of Sihl City was built on the grounds of an old paper mill which dates from 1836. It covers some 100,000 square metres of rental space and has 13 restaurants, 9 cinemas, a hotel, the Asia Spa fitness centre, a nightclub and even a chapel. The development blends the old with the new and is only a five minute journey from Zürich Hauptbahnhof, or you can go by tram. There is a Kinderparadies for children from 3-8 years of age.
