Schmerikon, at the eastern end of Zürichsee, is a pleasant 10 km drive east along the coastal road from Rapperswil. The attractive Hallen und Seebad, offers lake and indoor swimming under lifeguard supervision as well as a sauna, solarium, fitness classes and massage. There is an open-air children’s paddling pool on shore and another indoors together with a 25-metre heated indoor swimmers’ pool. Other features include a 42-metre waterslide, float, water accessories, grassed sunbathing with shade, children’s playground, beach volleyball court and a games area including table tennis. Facilities include changing cubicles, lockers, showers, toilets, a kiosk, snack bar and barbeque area.
