The beautiful Schloss Bad Zurzach, with its two distinctive towers, was built at the end of the 19th century by a textile and shoe industrialist. Today it houses the August Deusser Museum (see separate entry), a collection of antique furnishings and an outstanding clock collection. The latter includes European grandfather clocks and, the highlight, a 200-year-old tidal clock with a glockenspiel. The castle also has the largest Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) window in Europe, which is in the south elevation, its own restaurant and terrace and is set in a delightful and spacious park
