The historic and nostalgic, men only, Männerbad Schanzengraben, which was established in 1864, is on the old fortification canal. It is the male equivalent of the Frauenbad on the Stadthausquai (see separate entry). Open from early in May until at least the end of August, entry is free and there are facilities for both swimmers and non-swimmers. Features include a float and sunbathing areas with shade. Drinks and snacks are available at the kiosk and there are changing cubicles, showers and toilets. After the baths are closed, the Rimini bar opens and the opposite sex are then welcome.
