Sarner Cristil are regarded as one of the leading manufacturers of crystal glass and moved into their imposing new factory in Uetendorf in 1995, having previously been located in Sarnen. The glassmaker’s art is one of the most traditional crafts and you can experience the fascination of creating an art object of the highest quality from a pile of sandy mixture. Guided tours take about 45 minutes and you can look over the shoulders of masters at work and even try glassblowing yourself. There is a shop on site, where you can appreciate and buy some of the innovative designs.
