The Sankturbanhof is both a museum and a contemporary art exhibition centre and is housed in a historic late 16th century building of the Cistercian monastery of St. Urban. The walls of the Abbots’ Hall are decorated with exceptional paintings. The permanent collection includes sculptures, weapons, exhibits of the goldsmiths’ art, reverse painting on glass and coins. Twice a year there are temporary exhibitions of contemporary art or particular art topics and regional artists are given the opportunity to display their work.
