The Ritterhaus and Chapel at Uerikon, approximately 6 km northwest of Rapperswil-Jona, have both been fully restored by an association founded in 1943. The chapel was restored in the late 1940s and the house in 1976. Although referred to as the ‘knight house’, the half-timbered-style Ritterhaus was built in 1531, long after the 13th century knights of Ürikon. The chapel is from the Middle Ages and has a long Roman nave; the late Gothic choir and roof date from the 1480s. The Ritterhaus is used for conferences and the chapel for services; it is also popular for weddings and concerts.
