Riedern Lido is located on the outskirts of Uetendorf, which is about 5.5 km northwest of Thun. The 50-metre solar heated open-air swimming pool has a diving tower with 1-metre and 3-metre boards and is supplemented by a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a water slide, grassed sunbathing areas with shade, a children’s playground and table tennis. Facilities include changing rooms, showers, toilets and a restaurant. Whilst in Uetendorf you might like to visit Sarner, Switzerland’s only crystal glass manufacturer (see separate entry).
