The Rafz-Wil Lido is an open-air bathing complex located 15 km southwest of Shaffhausen, in park like surroundings; it is an example of the very good facilities available in rural Switzerland. The 25-metre heated swimmers’ pool is complemented by an attached non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool, all under lifeguard supervision. Features include one-metre and two-metre diving platforms, a 30-metre waterslide, grassed sunbathing areas with shade, and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include a barbeque area, kiosk/ restaurant, parking, changing cubicles, showers and toilets. The complex is open from mid-May to mid-September.
