The Quaibrücke Bridge connects Bürkliplatz with Bellevueplatz across the River Limmat, at the point where the river joins Lake Zürich. The bridge, which dates back to 1882, offers fantastic vistas to the south over the lake and on clear days the Glarus Alps beyond. Looking back, towards the old town, there is a great view of the Fraumünster and Grossmünster churches, particularly at nights. Bürkliplatz is the landing stage for the lake steamers during the summer and also has a Saturday flea market.
