This Horgen museum is housed in a beautiful half-timbered house, known as a Riegelhaus, which dates from 1737 and was donated in 1998 by the Physician Dr Emil Samuel Kern. It was gifted complete with furnishings and his significant porcelain collection. The exhibits include 120 plastic art statuettes and over 300 Zürich porcelain items dating back to the 18th century. The furniture is from the 17th and 18th centuries. The house also displays paintings and miniature portraits from the 15th to 19th centuries and graphics, drawings and landscape portraits from the 16th to 18th centuries.
