Located about 30 km southeast of St Gallen, the Schwimmbad Oberriet is an open-air bathing complex under lifeguard supervision. The pools are heated by utilising industrial waste and the 25-metre swimmers’ pool is complemented by a 25-metre non-swimmers’ pool, a diving pool with 1-metre and 3-metre platforms and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include an 80-metre waterslide, a children’s playground, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and a games area for Frisbee, badminton, etc. Facilities include a restaurant, kiosk, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
