From first floor, where the real currency is on show, visitors are taken down through the building on a journey through history and given an overview of current manufacturing techniques. On the ground floor one finds a wide collection of counterfeit currency and details of the punishment incurred by the forgers. There is a contemporary presentation case with genuine materials seized by the police of the Confederation. The basement is dedicated to the forger Joseph Samuel Farinet (1845-1880). Myth says he only produced 20-centime pieces and gave them to the poor people of Saillon.
