Located on the outskirts of Balsthal, approximately 20 km northeast of Solothurn, the Schwimmbad Moos is an open-air bathing complex with good facilities under lifeguard supervision. The 50-metre swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a non-swimmers’ pool, a diving pool with 1-metre, 2-metre and 3-metre platforms and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a waterslide, various pool accessories, a children’s playground, two beach volleyball courts, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, etc. Facilities include parking, changing cubicles, showers and toilets. There is a kiosk, a restaurant and an adjacent mini-golf course.
