Located about 12 km southeast of Thun at Merligen, next to the docking berth, the Merligen Lido has the only heated open-air bathing pool on the eastern shore of the Thunersee. It offers both lake and swimming pool bathing under lifeguard supervision, with beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. The 25-metre open-air pool is supplemented by a children’s paddling pool. Features include a float, a three-metre diving platform, grassed sunbathing with shade, a children’s playground and table tennis. Facilities include changing cubicles, lockers, showers, toilets and a snack bar.
