The Hallen und Freibad Menziken, located approximately 12 km northeast of Sursee, is a combined indoor and open-air bathing complex under lifeguard supervision. The open-air solar-heated 50-metre swimmers’ pool is complemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool; indoors, there are similar pools but heated to 30°C with a 25-metre swimmers’ pool. Other features include one-metre, two-metre and three-metre diving platforms, a waterslide, children’s playground, beach volleyball courts, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include a restaurant, barbeque area, sauna, solarium, fitness centre, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
