On the hillside at the foot of the church in Saillon is a stunning medieval garden. Laid out as it would have been in centuries past, this pleasant place provides vegetables, spices, medicines and dyes. During the Middle Ages, many plants, now all but forgotten, were appreciated not only for their taste and beauty, but also for their healing properties. Through a thematic presentation, visitors can discover the most characteristic plants used in Valais between the tenth and fifteenth centuries.
