The Maschwanden Lido offers open-air bathing in rural surroundings, on the outskirts of a picturesque and idyllic village about 12 km northwest of Zug. The complex was opened in 1972 and the 25-metre swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a games area for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis and other sports and a large grassed area with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics. Facilities provided include changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets and there is a kiosk.
