The Flussbad Unterer Letten is the oldest river bath in Zürich and offers open-air bathing in the River Limmat, together with on-shore pools. Entry is free and the 25-metre swimmers’ pool is complemented by a 12-metre children’s paddling pool. Other features include a three-metre diving platform, children’s playground, sunbathing areas and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, etc. Facilities include a snack bar, lockers and toilets and sometimes there is an evening bar. Originally the bath was for men only, with a women’s section added later; the old wooden summer houses add to the sense of history.
