The ski resort of Lenk, or to give it its full name Lenk im Simmental, is located 13 km southwest of Zweisimmen in the Simmental valley of the Bernese Oberland. It has other attractions beyond winter sports and its bathing complex (see separate entries). The valley offers 290 km of mountain bike trails and 600 km of walking trails, some themed, such as the Lynx and Marmot Trail on the Betelberg. A great attraction for hikers is the Simme River with its seven sources and the Iffigfall below the Wildstrubel, the highest mountain in the area.
