The Fort is located at an altitude of approximately 1,000 metres with a splendid view over Vallorbe, Ballaigues and the mountains. Six casemates with guns or machine-guns are connected by underground galleries and there is an operations room, an infirmary, a kitchen, refectories and sleeping quarters, the whole built in the depth of the mountain. Theses underground galleries testify accurately to the conditions during World War II. At the kiosk you can buy drinks, snacks, ice cream and souvenirs and there is an attractive picnic area on the access path. There is plenty of parking space. Guided tours are available, lasting approximately 1h30m.
