Located on the outskirts of the village of Bürglen, some 13 km southwest of Sarnen, is the beautiful and idyllic Seebad Bürglen. It lies in a bay on the north-western shore of the Lungerersee, which is a small natural lake which also serves as a reservoir. Entry is free although, after spending time here, few will refuse the voluntary donation which is requested. The facilities are limited to a float and a playground, showers and toilets, but there is plenty of grassed area with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and also a barbeque area and tables.
