Faulensee is located on the left bank of the lake, about 12 km southeast of Thun and 2 km beyond Spiez. A former fishermen’s and vintners’ village, but now a popular holiday resort, it invites a stroll along the picturesque shore with a number of delightful lakeside fish restaurants. Seebad Faulensee offers free swimming in Lake Thun and great views. There is a float, large grassed areas for sunbathing with shade, a games area for Frisbee, badminton, and other sports, showers and toilets. As the site does not have a food outlet, why not visit one of those lakeside restaurants?
