Located at Klingnau about 7 km southwest of Bad Zurzach, the Freiluftschwimmbad Grie is an open-air bathing complex with a full range of pools and facilities. A visit could be combined with a trip to the Klingnau Reservoir Nature Reserve (see separate entry). There are swimmers’ and non-swimmers’ pools, a diving pool with one-metre and three-metre platforms and a children’s paddling pool. Features include a waterslide, pool accessories, children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include a barbeque area, kiosk, snack bar, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
