The Kindercity is located in Volketswil about 15 km east of Zürich and is a 6,000 square metre play area, of which 4000 square metres is inside. It is intended for families with children aged from 2 to 12 and uses the concept of learning science through play. Kindercity links entertainment and knowledge, and the activities are split into various knowledge lanes graded for age. There are also factory workshops which encourage creativity and skill. The rooftop terrace, which has cars and trains and much more, is particularly popular. Activities are supervised by specialist teachers and parents are welcome to accompany the children.
