Lovers of both contemporary art and modern architecture will find much to enjoy in the Galerie Jamileh Weber near the Kunsthaus Museum (see separate entry). Jamileh Weber originally opened her gallery in 1974 and moved to the present premises in 1982. By 1980 she represented a list of artists which included Mario Comensoli (1922-1993), Manon, Rosina Kuhn and Alex Sadkowsky. The gallery now represents major artists such as Georg Baselitz, Catherine Lee, Jahanguir, Alois Lichtsteiner and Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008) among many others. Her interest in architecture has led to exhibitions by world famous architects such as Le Corbusier (1887-1965) and Aldo Rossi (1931-1997).
