The Institut Le Rosey is said to be the oldest and most exclusive private boarding school in the world. The school was founded on the site of the 14th Century Château du Rosey near the town of Rolle. Le Rosey has been called the School of Kings, past pupils include: Aga Khan IV, King Albert II of Belgium, King Baudouin I of Belgium, King Fuad II of Egypt, King Ntare V of Burundi, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavī and Prince Rainier III of Monaco. The school is not open to the public, but visitors to Rolle should not miss the opportunity to view this famous historic building.
