Located about 10 km southwest of Zug, the Holzhäusern Golf Course opened in 1994 and has beautiful views of the Zuger Lake and the Rigi region. Designed by golf architect Mario Verdieri, there is the 18-hole Zugerzee course, which measures 5,882 metres and has a par rating of 72, supplemented by the 9-hole Rigi course of 2,816 metres with a par of 36. There are also six practice holes linked to the golf academy. Facilities include a driving range, putting and pitching greens, a practice bunker, pro shop and restaurant. Clubs and trolleys can be hired.
