Located next to the Le Corbusier House (see separate entry) is the studio of the Swiss sculptor Hermann Haller, which exhibits a small collection of his works and an urn containing his ashes. Haller was born in Berne in December 1880 and died in Zürich in November 1950; he is regarded as a founder of modern plastic art in Switzerland. Initially trained as a painter, he made his first trip to Rome in 1901 with his close friend the painter Paul Klee (1878-1940) and turned to sculpture in 1905. Open from July to October (Thursday to Saturday, noon-6 pm).
