When visiting Spiez Castle and Church (see separate entries), take in the Heritage and Wine Museum located in a 1728 Simme Valley house. The museum is devoted to traditional culture and wine-growing in a characteristic farmhouse, with living rooms, kitchen, an equipped workshop, traditional wine press, farmhouse garden and granary. There is a permanent exhibition on regional viticulture and a programme of temporary exhibitions on local history, winemaking and including traditional crafts such as bone carving.
