Herrisau has an attractive indoor bathing complex, the Hallenad Herisau, in addition to its open-air Sonnenberg Lido (see separate entry). Located in the Sportzentrum and under lifeguard supervision, the 25-metre swimmers’ pool is complemented by a 12.5 metre non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a 30-metre waterslide, 1-metre diving board and various pool accessories. Facilities include a sauna, solarium, fitness centre, restaurant, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets. Fitness classes and massage are also available. The facility is open throughout the year, except for a fortnight maintenance period.
