Located by the side of Lake Zürich is Henry Moore’s monumental sculpture ‘Sheep Piece’, which was originally erected in 1976 for an exhibition of his works that attracted 74,000 people to Seepark. An English artist and sculptor, Henry Moore (1898-1986) is world famous for his large scale abstract bronzes and he was an ardent observer of nature. It is said that, in this instance, he chose a format that attracts attention by its oversized bodies, to an animal now regarded as rather mundane.
